Murray River salt flakes 50g

It is only since the year 2000 that the underground salt brines near the Murray River in New South Wales, Australia, have been used to produce a salt that is now favoured by the entire gourmet scene: Murray River Salt. Now star chefs and food fans are also focussing on pink. The brine brought to the surface initially evaporates solely due to the heat of the sun. The salt is then cleaned and reheated several times in different brines. The high mineral content in these brines gives the fine salt flakes their delicate pink colour!
