For rising and shaping your bread dough - the traditional proofing basket made from wicker!
The organic material enables even proofing, ideal for soft dough. It retains the warmth of the bread dough and absorbs moisture - thus optimally regulating the proofing process for a beautiful, even pore structure and a crispy crust.
Size: for breads up to 1.5 kg
Dimensions: Diameter 20 cm
Please note: Only use the bread proofing baskets for proofing the dough, never for baking bread!
Use:
After the proofing process, place the moulded bread dough in the proofing basket dusted with a little flour or potato starch powder.
5-10 minutes later, you can turn the bread dough out onto a baking tray and place it in the oven.
To clean your proofing basket, you can simply tap it out or brush it out a little with a brush.
If the basket is very dirty, you can also soak it in warm water.
At the end of work, your proofing basket should be completely dried out to prevent mould from forming.
The best way to do this is to place the basket in the oven at up to 160° Celsius for 5 minutes.
Of course, you can also lay it out in a warm room. It can then be stacked away without hesitation.
