HORL 2 - Walnut

The HORL® 2 is the result of the latest developments in the HORL® roller sharpener family.
Two grinding angles and exchangeable grinding wheels provide even more possibilities for knife sharpening. The press mounting and built-in ball bearings create a completely new, backlash-free rolling feeling. The ceramic coating on the honing side guarantees impressive sharpening results.
Sharpening pattern
Within a few movements an even microsection is achieved, which is in no way inferior to the sharpness ex works.
Diamond grinding disc
The industrial diamonds used by Horl are suitable for all knife steels of any hardness to sharpen efficiently without water. When used properly, the HORL® Diamond Standard never needs to be replaced.
The grain size of 46 μm grinds efficiently and precisely. A high-quality sharpening result is achieved in a short time.
Ceramic honing disc
After processing with the HORL® Diamond Standard, the ceramic honing disc significantly refines the grinding result. Only a few movements are needed for this. The result is a smooth, clean and filigranely sharpened knife edge.
20° grinding angle for stable sharpness
The 20° grinding angle ensures new sharpness in a short time. The knife retains its sharpness for a long time thanks to the stable edge and is suitable for a wide variety of cuts in everyday kitchen use. It also gives many outdoor pocket knives a stable edge and excellent sharpness for everyday use.
15° grinding angle for delicate sharpness
The 15° grinding angle gives particularly fine blades made of Damascus and high-quality carbon steel a filigree sharpness. These knife edges can be ground very finely while retaining their stability.
Superior efficiency
Industrial diamonds are considered one of the most durable and efficient abrasives on the market. The monocrystalline diamonds are harder than any knife steel. By means of an electroplating process, the diamonds of the HORL® Diamond Standard are fixed in a nickel bed at a rate of approx. 55 %. The initially rough surface refines after the first grinding processes and the HORL® Diamond Standard has reached its desired grinding surface.
The HORL® S-Pad for stepless flexibility in grinding
The combination of strong neodymium magnets and the HORL® S-Pad allow a secure fixation of the blade during grinding. Reinforced by the anti-slip effect of the S-Pad, even small blades can be sharpened constantly and reproducibly at the desired height.
